Courage Worldwide will be sponsoring the music video release of “Love Won’t Disappear” by one of the they’re partner artist, Josh Falcón, on Sunday April 13th 7pm at Bayside Citrus Heights. Josh recently toured for Lincoln Brewster’s Christmas Tour and has been featured on TBN show Top 3. This video is based on the true story of a young girl who was slaved into human trafficking. As she encounters God, she makes a dramatic escape, and has now become an incredible voice of hope and courage to this generation. Josh will also be performing a concert from his latest debut album along with DJ Valour and more. This a FREE admission concert and music video premiere. Invite friends, family and come raise support and awareness against Human Trafficking.
Courage World Wide is an organization that rescues and restores young teens, specifically young girls who are sold for sex. This issue and epidemic is running ramped in America, our streets, and across the Globe.
Current statistics estimate that there are an estimated 27 million human trafficking victims worldwide at any time. There are approximately 4.5 million sex trafficking victims around the world; 98% of those victims are women and girls. Trafficking is a $32 billion dollar a year industry. Those figures are astounding, especially to a suburban raised kid and now father like me.
Despite these horrific statistics and unimaginable crimes to these young girls, i believe we can make a difference and an impact and not go about life as usual. Dusting such a problem like this under the carpet will only lead to society and the church to close they’re eyes and ears to such a need.
I have joined “Courage World Wide” as an artist but more than that as man who wants to see purity and the true love of God bring redemption to these girls and to this world. Please stay connected, pray for these girls daily, pray for the johns and pray for the pimps that God would reveal Himself. Check out the Courage website (courageworldwide.org) to donate and support in some amazing ways. Lets stay connected and passionate about this, thanks so much, Much Love!
Hey Everyone, so the Bible speaks about a verse that say’s “Be ready in season and out”..well one of those moments happened for me when I received a phone call a few weeks ago. Phone call went like this.. “Hi, Josh” Me- “Yes”. “Hey wondering if you’d like to open for Lincoln’s Christmas tour”? Me- “Uuhhhhhh, what do you mean”? Ok pause, you have to understand I’ve been in so many phone call situation’s as an artist that on my end sounded like the coolest dream come true, but ended with me performing next to the bouncy houses, or opening an hour before the show as people wandered in the building early to get good seats for the artist they really came to see. lol, But Not Joking. Anyways. “Yes, open before Lincoln’s set and if everything goes well, you can come out for the last 3 road shows”. Me- “Uuuhhh, let me double check with my Wife, but Yes”. ha!
Well everything went well, at least enough to have me back on the road next Monday for a week Dec.9th-15th. Gotta tell you this an exciting moment for me, not only because of the amazing crowds, lights, and opening for a guy like Lincoln. More than that the power of prayer is amazing! 3 days before i was doing some serious soul searching and asking God to speak, slap, kick, show me something anything through the struggle of doing my music independently, its just a tough road and journey. Opportunities don’t just happen, i take my conversation’s with God very serious and when it’s in His hands there is no greater sense of confidence and strength He gives us. On that note just humbled to be apart of the “Joy to the World” tour, and excited for 2014!!
I really wanted to do this cover from a band called “Parachute” 1st time I heard it I instantly picked up the guitar and learned the song. I love the honest lyrics..1st line says “here i am a sinner, broken and in need of you, take my life and wash my fears away..” Its just such a great reminder of this powerful Love and Mercy God has for us that really takes over when life seems cracked, broken and in disarray. I hope you like it, share it and feel free to Subscribe to my youtube.
October 5th I will be supporting this amazing event to speak a voice in the fight against human and child sex trafficking. For the past 10 years along with music i have worked with young people in the greater areas of Sacramento. I have seen many abused teenagers and those who have battled the streets day in and day out.
This issue and crisis is hard to hear about sometimes, the statistics and details of sex trafficking can turn ears away, bring awkwardness and even denial of it happening on the streets we walk, drive and live in. We cannot be silent supporters! This day is about uniting together, praying together, and even celebrating together the progress of this fight. This is a FREE event so invite friends, family and join us on the steps of the State Capitol. I hope to see you there!!
We are proud to announce that Josh’s music video “Top of the World” was nominated for Best music video in Sacramento! Its no surprise when you see this video, if you know Sac-town, that it was filmed in the heart of downtown. Josh has grown up in the capital city and wanted to showcase his love for the hometown and his favorite views. Taken place on the parking structure of L and 10th St. you can see many buildings and alley ways that are familiar to any Sacramentian. We filmed this video in 2 days, and thank everyone, actors, extra’s, Owen Burgess and the film crew for all their hard work.
Josh and Spire Entertainment would also like to thank the city of Sacramento for the permits, security, and support for this video. We truly hope it brings more pride and support to the local artist of Sacramento.
“Top of the World” will be viewed at the Crest Theater on K st. on Sept 14th. 6pm is when the Music Scene segment will play. $10 at the door, follow the link for pre-order tickets and come support Josh and his debut Video!
